ERDN is the East Rock Digital Network. Digital, as in binary (1s and 0s) and Network, as in a series of interconnected computers.

Digital network is not digital radio exclusive. Analog repeaters are encouraged to participate in ERDN!

Here's some pointers and tips for people wanting to know how to connect to ERDN:

I have an analog radio or an analog repeater:
  • There are two ways of connecting. Either using Allstar Link, or Echolink.
    • Allstar Link - Dial *346550 to connect
    • Echolink - Connect to KC1AWV-L

I have a DMR radio:
  • There are two ways of connecting. Either use Brandmeister or XLX
    • Brandmeister - Connect to talkgroup 3122790
    • XLX - Connect to XLX740 Module D | Pi-Star Screenshot

I have a D-Star radio:
  • There is one way of connecting. Use XLX740 Module C
    • On a hotspot - Use your hotspot's configuration page to connect | Pi-Star Screenshot
    • On a repeater - If the repeater has XLX740 in its host file, put XLX740CL in the URCALL field to connect the repeater, then switch back to CQCQCQ to talk

I have a Yaesu Fusion radio:
  • There is one way of connecting. Use YSF 43349 (EROCKARES)
    • On a hotspot - Use your hotspot's configuration page to connect | Pi-Star Screenshot
    • On a repeater - Unknown at this time (grin)

I have a cellphone:
  • There are two ways to connect. Either use DVSwitch Mobile (Allstar) or Echolink
    • DVSwitch Mobile - Setting this up will require advanced notice to an ASL node's administrator - coordinate with the admin for info
    • Echolink - Connect to KC1AWV-L

As more connections become available, this information will be updated.
